This grey hose cuff is designed specifically for 1-1/4" wire-reinforced vacuum hose, a different style from standard crushproof hose. Wire-reinforced hose uses an embedded metal helix, and this cuff is shaped to grip that construction securely, threading onto the cut end to form a tight, airtight connection.
