This swivel adaptor, part TBADABS15, is sized for 1-1/4 in. hose and built for garage and utility central vacuum setups.

A garage hose gets dragged around a car, a workbench, or a concrete floor far more than a household hose does, and a fixed connection twists and kinks under that kind of repeated, rougher handling. The swivel joint in this adaptor lets the hose rotate freely at the connection point, so the hose itself turns with you as you move around a vehicle or a garage bay instead of winding up tight and fighting you on the next pass. Over time, a hose that cannot swivel at its connection also tends to develop a permanent twist in the material itself, since it is wound the same direction repeatedly without ever untwisting on its own.
