This is a 20 foot low-voltage central vacuum hose, part CUSTOM-20, listed as a made-to-length item rather than one of the fixed sizes carried in stock. Low voltage describes the two thin control wires that run the length of the hose alongside the suction tube, carrying the on/off signal from a switch at the handle back to the wall inlet, instead of switching the vacuum on at the power unit itself.
A low-voltage hose only completes that circuit if the rest of the system is wired for it. The wall inlet and the handle both need matching low-voltage contacts, or the switch at the handle has nothing to talk to. Before ordering, check whether the hose you are replacing has the same small contact pins at the cuff, or confirm with your installer which control type your inlets use.
