This silver 24V hose extension, part TBORB24V--, lengthens an existing 24V air-driven central vacuum hose, stretching your working range into corners and rooms the stock hose falls short of.
A 24V hose carries the low-voltage signal wire that lets the handle switch the central vacuum power unit on and off, separate from the 110V wiring used on hoses that also power an electric nozzle. Splicing this extension into that line keeps the switching circuit unbroken end to end, so the handle keeps its on/off control with the added length in place. Since the extension sits between the hose and the wall inlet, it changes only how far the setup reaches, not how the hose itself handles or coils.
