This 3-Way Mounting Plate for central vacuum systems is sized for 2 by 3 inch construction and made specifically for retrofit work in existing walls. When you are adding inlet valves to a finished home, standard new-construction brackets cannot be used; this plate solves that, giving the inlet valve a secure mounting point without opening up the wall.
A firmly anchored inlet valve stays flush and tight through years of hoses being plugged in and pulled out. Loose inlets work themselves free over time and leak air, so a proper retrofit plate is worth the small extra effort during installation.
It replaces part number 791044W and BI-9272. If you are planning an inlet addition and want to confirm this is the right bracket for your walls, we are glad to help.
