The 3 Way Mounting Plate Finished (New Construction) is a central vacuum installation bracket that anchors an inlet valve securely to the wall framing before the drywall goes up. It is the piece that determines whether your inlet sits flat, straight, and airtight for the life of the system, so it is worth getting right at the rough-in stage.
A properly mounted plate gives the inlet valve a rigid, dependable connection point. That matters because every loose or misaligned inlet is a potential air leak, and leaks anywhere in the pipe run reduce suction at every inlet in the house.
This plate is intended for new construction installations where the framing is still open. Follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines, and take a moment to square the plate to the stud before fastening.
