Clip 6694GS grips a telescopic tube through a sleeve, and 6668GS is the sleeve sized for the 6237ER tube fitted to the K2, E1 and E2. With the correct one in place the dusting brush rides along with the machine; with the wrong one the clip never tightens.

Sleeves see years of handling and eventually go hard, split, or simply lose their squeeze, and the first symptom is a brush that keeps dropping off halfway round the house. The second is a clip that has to be forced back on every time, which is what finally cracks it. Swapping in a new sleeve takes moments and needs no tools with the wand in front of you, which beats putting up with a brush that will not stay stowed.

The arrangement it belongs to is simple enough. The dusting brush clips to the telescopic tube so it travels with the machine, ready for a shelf or a skirting board without a trip back to the cupboard; the clip grips the tube through this sleeve; and the sleeve is the only part of that chain that perishes. Replacing it restores the whole onboard storage arrangement rather than patching it.

Check the tube number before ordering rather than going by the model badge on the canister. The 6237ER tube takes this sleeve, while the later 60237UC and 60241UC wands take 60238AD instead.
