The central vacuum air relief valve (SKU 5613ARV) is inexpensive insurance for your power unit's motor. When a clog or blockage chokes off airflow in the pipe network, the vacuum motor is starved of the air it needs. This valve springs open the moment a blockage occurs, feeding air to the motor and preventing the damage that a fully sealed clog can cause.
Installation is straightforward: purchase a sweep tee connector, splice it into your pipe run, and mount the valve in the tee. The closer to the power unit you place it, the better the protection.
