This genuine Air-Way suction control lid and inlet port in gray (Part #700184303) is the housing that caps the airflow bleed valve and forms the suction inlet on your upright vacuum. It seats the suction control dial and seals the air path so the adjustment mechanism reads accurately and the machine maintains strong, leak-free suction.
A cracked or warped lid lets air bypass the valve, which weakens cleaning performance and can make the suction dial feel loose. Installing a new inlet port restores a proper seal and crisp suction control.
