Inside the SEBO DISCO floor polisher, a small shaft gives one of the moving assemblies its pivot. Part 2938ER is the factory item for that job, made to the original diameter and length so the piece it carries turns true rather than wandering in an oversized bore.
SEBO's DISCO parts list puts the axle at position 16, between the switch lever at 15 and the complete motor assembly at 17, in the group of hardware that sits behind the head rather than under it. Axles wear slowly and quietly. Hair and fine grit work their way onto the shaft, the surface scores, and the rotation picks up drag or a faint knock; a bent shaft announces itself as a component that turns with a wobble. Clearing the seat and fitting a fresh axle puts that movement back where it belongs, and it is worth doing while the machine is already opened for any other reason.
