    Returns & Exchanges

    Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

    Return eligibility

    Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

    Shipping and refunds

    For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

    On the old-style Hoover handle, a single latch holds the bag assembly closed against the machine. Part 035234AW is that latch, listed for the Hoover 65 old-style handle and for the Hoover 6414.

    Latches fail quietly. The plastic hook wears round or snaps off, and the bag mount stops holding. Sometimes it works loose over a few minutes of cleaning, sometimes it drops open the first time the machine is knocked. Either way the dust seal is broken, and a broken seal on a bagged upright means fine dust escaping at the joint and settling on everything you have just cleaned.

    A new latch grips the mount firmly again so the bag stays seated and sealed for the length of a clean. Before ordering, confirm you have the old-style handle: the latch geometry differs from the later design and will not engage correctly on the wrong one.
