Product details

Dyson's DC27 Total Clean and DC28 Animal share a post-motor HEPA filter, and F996 is the replacement for both.

It sits after the motor, cleaning the air on its way back into the room. A filter thick with trapped dust restricts that path, and the restriction is felt at the other end of the machine as weaker pull at the floor head. A saturated one also stops holding the pollen and fine dust it caught when new, which is the point at which allergy sufferers start noticing the vacuum rather than the dirt.

The replacement drops into the same housing by hand. Check whether your machine is a DC27 or a DC28 on the data plate before ordering, since Dyson used different filters across neighboring models.
