Product details

F978 is the post-motor HEPA filter for the Dyson DC25, the ball upright.

On a DC25 the HEPA element is the last thing air passes through before it is exhausted, which is why a neglected one is so noticeable. Airflow narrows as the pleats fill, so the machine loses suction at the head, and a saturated filter releases the dust mites, pollen and dander it was holding back into the room every time you run it.

The old filter comes out of its housing by hand and the new one goes in the same way. Twice a year suits most households; once a year is the minimum worth aiming for. If the pleats look uniformly gray rather than dusty on the surface, it is already overdue.
