A bearing announces itself well before it fails: first a rumble you notice only in a quiet room, then a whine that rises with speed, then real drag. The 626-2Z is the shielded ball bearing used inside the SEBO DUO, listed here as part 222.
The 626 designation fixes the size, and the 2Z suffix means it is shielded on both faces, with metal covers keeping the grease in and dust out. That is exactly the specification a floor machine needs, because the working environment is full of the fine grit that destroys an open bearing. It carries a rotating shaft inside the DUO.

As the grease dries out and the races begin to pit, the shaft turns rough, runs hot and loads everything driving it. Spin the shaft by hand with the machine unplugged: a good bearing feels glassy and coasts, a tired one feels gritty, notchy or tight. Fitting a new bearing at the first change in noise costs a great deal less than replacing the components a seized one takes with it.
Fit it with clean hands into a clean seat. Grit trapped between the outer race and its housing stops the bearing seating fully square, and a bearing sitting even slightly cocked in its bore will run hot and fail early however good it was in the box.
