Bissell Bottom Plate - 3537...

$17.99

Product details

The bottom plate for the Bissell 3537 upright, part 2031168, also listed for the 6582 and 6583, the 1739, the 71Y7 series and the BGU1451T. It is the panel that closes the underside of the floor head around the brush roll.

The plate sets the gap between the brush and the carpet and seals the air path across the nozzle, and it gets dragged over every floor in the house. Once the plastic wears thin at the edges, warps from heat, or loses a clip, the head stops sealing to the floor and the suction that should be pulling through the carpet pile leaks in around the sides instead.

Fit the new plate with the brush roll and belt in good order, since both are exposed while the plate is off and it is the natural moment to check them.
