Product details
A cracked or leaking clean tank is the most common reason a Bissell TurboClean Pet upright stops spraying properly. This tank, part 164-4041, is the fresh-solution reservoir that supplies the water-and-formula blend to the spray system and mounts on the machine as its own sealed compartment, apart from the tank that holds recovered dirty water.
Once the tank body warps, the cap seal flattens, or a seam splits, the tank will not hold pressure and either drips while mounted or stops delivering a full spray pattern to the carpet, even though it still looks full when you check it. Replacing the tank restores a sealed, full-capacity reservoir. A tank that leaks only while mounted on the machine, but seems fine sitting on a counter, usually has a stressed seam rather than a cracked cap.
- Part: 164-4041 clean water tank
- Fits: Bissell TurboClean Pet, models 3939, 3939C, 3942, 3946, 3948, 3949 and 3952
- Function: holds and feeds water and solution to the spray system
Match the model number on your TurboClean Pet to the list above before ordering.
Before ordering, empty the tank and check the cap threads and the seam around the base under good light, since a hairline crack in either spot is often the cause of a tank that looks intact but still leaks once it is pressurized during a cleaning pass.
