This genuine Bissell float assembly is the grey shut-off float used inside ProHeat Revolution upright carpet cleaners. The float rides on the dirty-water tank and rises with the liquid level; when the tank fills, it lifts to seal the suction port and stop the machine from pulling water into the motor. A properly functioning float prevents overflow and protects internal components.
This part fits Bissell ProHeat Revolution upright models 3586, 3587, 3588, and 3588F. If your cleaner is losing suction, leaking, or failing to stop drawing water when the recovery tank is full, a cracked or stuck float is a common cause.
