Returns & Exchanges

Part 203-6760 is a trigger micro switch built for the Bissell 8920.

This switch sits behind the trigger or power control and completes the circuit that turns the machine on when pressed. When a trigger switch starts to fail, it typically shows up first as intermittent power - the machine cutting out mid-use or needing the trigger held at a specific angle to stay running - before it fails to make contact at all.

Because the fault can look electrical (a dead switch reads the same as a loose wire or blown fuse from the user's side), it is worth confirming with a multimeter that the switch itself is not passing current before replacing it, rather than assuming from symptoms alone. A switch that clicks normally but never restores power is a stronger sign of a bad internal contact than a switch that feels loose or doesn't click at all, which more often points to a mounting or wiring issue instead.
