This is the genuine red upper handle assembly for Bissell ProLite upright vacuum cleaners in the 17G5 series. The upper handle is the grip section at the top of the vacuum that houses the on/off switch and forms the steering point you guide the cleaner with during use.
Over years of pushing, pulling, and storing an upright, the upper handle takes the brunt of wear — cracks, loose mounting points, and broken switch housings are common failures.
