We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Part 1606425 is the power switch used across the Bissell ProHeat Revolution carpet cleaners: the 1548, 1550 and 1551, the 1964, 1986 and 1986C, the 2007, and the 3579 and 3586. It is a two-prong push-button switch in a rectangular body.
Switches fail from the inside. The contacts pit and carbon up until the machine only runs when you press at a certain angle, cuts out mid-pass, or refuses to start at all while the cord and the outlet test fine. Holding the switch down to keep the motor going is the classic sign it is finished.
This is mains wiring, so unplug the machine before you open it and note which spade terminal goes where. If you are not comfortable inside the housing, hand it to a repair shop; the switch itself pushes out of the panel from behind.
