Returns & Exchanges

We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.

Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Austin Air's HealthMate takes a pre-filter that wraps right around the cylinder of media inside the housing, and F400A is the large black version of that wrap.

Everything the room throws at the machine, lint, hair and visible dust, lands here first, which is exactly the point. The pre-filter is cheap and the carbon and HEPA cylinder behind it is not, so this layer decides how long the expensive media lasts. Once it grays over and stiffens, airflow through the whole unit falls and the purifier gets quieter and less effective at the same time.

Changing it takes no tools: the wrap comes off the cylinder and the new one goes on in its place. Black and white are the same filter in different colors, so pick whichever suits your unit.
