Part 104497 is the set of eight bottom plate screws for the ProTeam ProForce 1500XP, sized 4mm by 35mm. They hold the bottom plate in place over the brush roll, and that plate is what seals the airflow channel at the nozzle end, with all eight screws needed to keep it seated evenly around its perimeter.
The bottom plate is not just a cover. It closes off the gap between the floor and the motor, and once a screw strips, corrodes, or works its way out after years of brush roll service, the plate no longer sits flush and starts pulling in stray air around its edges instead of drawing it through the nozzle. That leak shows up as weaker pickup at the floor, and it is easy to blame on the bag or the motor when a handful of missing fasteners is the actual cause. Losing even two or three of the eight is often enough to create a noticeable gap at one corner of the plate, since the remaining screws end up carrying more load than they were designed for.
Whenever the plate is off for brush roll access or belt work, check the full set of eight, and swap any screw that no longer bites firmly into the housing instead of forcing it back in, since a stripped hole only gets worse with repeated tightening.
