Eureka Brush Roll End Cap R...

$6.99

Product details

The rubber end cap cover for the new-style Eureka Vibragroom brush roll, part 20-3636-05. It fits over the end of the roller where the roll meets its mount, working as both a cushion and a seal.

Rubber that spends its life spinning against a housing hardens, glazes and eventually splits. Once the cover has gone, the roll can shift sideways in its mount, and the noise changes first: a rattle or a knock from one end of the nozzle that comes and goes with the carpet. Grit then reaches the bearing area the cap was keeping clean, and the roll itself is the next thing to fail.

Replacing the cap takes a few minutes with the roll out, which makes it a natural job to do at the same time as a belt change.
