One machine, one strip. SEBO catalogues 50415 as the 12 in. replaceable bristle strip that seats in the brush roller of the 300 MECHANICAL upright.

Everything on that machine which actually touches the carpet is this strip, which is why it wears out while the roller body carrying it goes on for years. Renewing the strip is the cheaper half of a brush service and restores the bite that a flattened row has lost. SEBO's 300 350 MECHANICAL drawing puts the complete roller mechanism for the 300, supplied with a strip in place, at position 121 as 50470ER, with the belt that drives it at position 122 as 5110 — worth knowing, because a slipping belt and a worn strip produce the same complaint of a machine that no longer picks up.

Look for shortened, splayed or shiny bristles, and for the give-away that a second pass over the same patch of carpet still produces dirt. Clear hair wound into the roller channel and around the ends before the fresh strip goes in, so it seats fully along its whole length. Confirm the length while ordering: this is the 12 in. strip fitted to the SEBO 300 MECHANICAL, while the 14 in. strip used elsewhere in the range carries a separate number, 2046.
