Where the loom crosses into the power head, at the male contact holder, any movement fatigues the conductors. Clamp 2494 is the small retainer that pins the cable down at that junction so the wiring is held rather than hanging on its own terminations.
SEBO draws it as position 107 on the sheet titled AUTOMATIC X4 X5, and as position 105 on the sheet titled ESSENTIAL G4 G5. Those are the names of drawings rather than fitment lists, and the clamp itself is listed against a much wider spread of machines than the sheet titles suggest. The failure is easy to spot once you know to look: a broken or missing clamp lets the loom pull directly on its terminations every time the handle swings through its arc, which shows up as a brush motor that cuts out at one particular angle, or intermittently under normal use. Left alone, the strain works the conductors until one of them breaks inside its insulation, and the repair stops being a small plastic part.
