Product details

Part TFATTAC1 is a bulk box of 1,000 nylon cable ties, each 10 in. long, sized for bundling wire and dressing tubing runs on a central vacuum installation.

A cable tie like this works on a one-way ratchet head: once pulled tight it will not loosen on its own, and freeing a wire wrapped this way means cutting the tie rather than untying it. That makes it a fasten-once tool suited to a run you expect to leave in place. At 10 in. long, a single tie wraps comfortably around a bundle of low-voltage wire alongside a run of PVC tubing, or cinches that bundle to a joist, stud, or pipe strap as it travels through a wall or attic.

  • Part: TFATTAC1, nylon cable tie
  • Length: 10 in.
  • Count: 1,000 per box
  • Use: bundling and securing low-voltage wire and tubing during a central vacuum install

At 1,000 per box, the count suits a full-house rough-in with several rooms of tubing and wire, or a shop that installs regularly and would rather buy once than reorder mid-job. Nylon ties like these are built for the indoor runs a central vacuum installation involves, inside walls and attics out of direct sun, since long-term outdoor UV exposure is what eventually makes a nylon tie brittle.
