This is a genuine Canavac top lid / cover (Part #30502-25), the large-diameter 14-inch sapphire blue cap that fits the top of the Canavac XLS990 central vacuum power unit. It is the upper housing cover that encloses the motor compartment and completes the canister's airtight body.
The top lid seats the filtration and seals the motor section so the unit pulls full vacuum without leaking air at the top of the housing. A cracked, faded, or warped lid can let air bypass the seal and weaken suction, and a broken cover leaves the motor exposed to dust. Replacing it restores both the seal and the finished appearance of the unit.
