We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Part B3526800 is the cord-entry fitting used on the Sanitaire SC-412 backpack; that same piece also serves the Carpet Pro SCBP1. Its job is simple: grip the cord jacket firmly enough that any tug on the line gets absorbed by the housing rather than transmitted down to the wires inside.
Constant flexing wears this fitting out well before age does. Once it cracks or works loose, the cord begins to shift right at the point where it enters the machine, and each shift wears a little more insulation off the conductors underneath. What that produces on the machine is power that drops out whenever the cord gets moved, or a spot near the entry point that feels noticeably warmer than the rest of the housing, and both are signs worth stopping for rather than pushing through the rest of the shift.
This is a small, inexpensive fitting standing between normal operation and a much bigger repair, since letting it fail completely usually means replacing the entire cord once the conductors inside have actually broken rather than just the fitting. Swap it out at the first hint of cracking instead of waiting for a full failure.
Disconnect the vacuum from power before opening the housing. After the new fitting is in place, tug the cord by hand at the entry point to confirm it grips snugly with no play before closing everything back up.
