Returns & Exchanges

Marks on hardwood in the wake of a canister say that a castor has given up rolling and taken to sliding. 8086GS is the gray black castor for the AIRBELT D1 Turbo and the D4 Premium, item 2 on the AIRBELT D drawing, supplied whole - wheel, yoke and pivot in one - so no part of the damaged original needs saving.

Castors mount into the bottom casing at item 1, a casing SEBO supplies with its castors already installed, and they carry the machine's weight through every turn the hose puts it through. Grit migrates into the swivel over the years and dries out whatever lubrication is left, until the castor locks at an angle. From then on it ploughs rather than rolls: the canister drags against the pull, tips when the hose is snatched round a corner, and scores the floor it stands on. A castor that swivels freely lets the canister follow the hose again.

Look at the others while one is off. Castors on a canister wear at similar rates, so a machine that has already seized one is usually running on two more that are stiff, and a single free wheel among stiff ones still leaves the body dragging.
