Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 10002-BK is a black replacement bleeder valve for central vacuum power units.

A bleeder valve is a small pressure-relief fitting that opens when suction rises too high, such as when a hose kinks, a tool seals flat against a surface, or a hose is left plugged into an inlet with nothing attached. Letting in a controlled amount of air keeps the motor from laboring against a fully blocked airstream. A valve that has stuck shut stops doing that job, and one that leaks constantly can rob the system of suction it needs for normal cleaning.

Check your existing valve's mounting style and thread size before ordering a replacement, since bleeder valves are not universal across every central vacuum power unit.

Bleeder valves are not all built the same way. Some thread directly into the power unit housing, while others sit inline on the pipe run partway between the unit and the nearest inlet, so match the mounting location as well as the color before ordering.
