Part GASCUT28R is a motor gasket carrying a protective metal ring, published by Trovac at 4.5 in. (11.4 cm) outside diameter, 2.5 in. (6.4 cm) inside diameter and 5/8 in. (1.6 cm) thick, for the upper motor position. It seats between the motor and the power unit body the same way any motor gasket does, keeping the working airflow from bypassing the motor housing at that joint.

Renewing a gasket whenever the motor comes out for service is cheap insurance against having to pull the motor a second time over a seal that has started to leak. Trovac lists GASCUT28R for its GS2015, E2015, H2015, GX2015, DL2015 and HX2015 power units, so check your own unit against that list first.
