Part TENSMUF7 packages a muffler together with everything needed to fit it to the exhaust side of a CycloVac central vacuum power unit, an ABS fitting set and pipe clamps included alongside the muffler itself. Mounted there, it cuts down the running noise and vibration the unit sends out into the room around it.
Because every fitting and clamp the job calls for comes in the box, there is no separate trip to hunt down ABS parts that happen to match, which matters most on an exhaust joint, where a mismatched fitting is more likely to rattle loose or leak than one from a matched kit. A power unit that has grown noticeably louder over the years it has been running, or one set up somewhere the noise stands out more than expected, is a fair candidate for adding this muffler if the unit did not already come with one installed.
