Product details

This black gasket, part GASLIN716, measures 1/8 in. by 7/16 in. and seals a joint on a central vacuum power unit's tank or canister.

A gasket like this sits compressed between two mating surfaces, and it is that compression that keeps air from slipping past the seam rather than passing through the intended airflow path. Rubber gaskets flatten and lose their spring over years of repeated compression, and a section that has hardened or cracked stops sealing evenly even if the rest of the gasket still looks intact. A worn gasket lets air leak in at the seam it is meant to seal, and a leak there bleeds off suction before it ever reaches a hose or an inlet.

  • Part: GASLIN716
  • Dimensions: 1/8 in. x 7/16 in.
  • Color: black
  • Use: sealing a tank or canister joint on a central vacuum power unit

Measure the gasket you are replacing before ordering, since tank seals vary in width and diameter across brands and models, and a gasket cut to the wrong size will not seat evenly enough to hold a seal.
