Product details

Part AC43SBDNZM09 is the belt cover for the Panasonic MC-V7505 and MC-V7515. It encloses the drive belt and pulley at the base of the machine, keeping the belt path shut off from the carpet it is running over.

Covers tend to get broken by the very thing they protect against — a hard knock on the belt housing, or the machine dropped on its front. Once the cover is cracked or missing, thread, hair and carpet fibre find the belt and pulley, wrap around them, and shorten the life of a belt that would otherwise run for months. Brush roll speed drops as the wrap builds.

With the cover off, look at the belt itself. If it has been running exposed it has almost certainly stretched or glazed, and the two should go back together as a pair.
