Trovac Decovac Wall Inlet T...

Product details
Part TF010101 snaps over the rough-in hardware for a Decovac inlet and stays in place through the messiest part of a build, closing off that opening until the room is ready for the permanent valve and its trim to go in. Left bare through that stretch, the hardware behind it would pick up plaster dust and drywall grit that is hard to fully clean out later.
Drywall and plaster work throws a fine mist of dust into any open box or fixture along the wall it touches, and keeping that grit away from an unfinished electrical or mechanical opening is standard practice on any job site, not something specific to central vacuum work. Once the room is painted and swept, pulling this guard free is the last step before the finished valve and trim go on for good.
- Part: TF010101
- Function: keeps construction dust out of a Decovac inlet's rough-in hardware
- Removed: after finish work, right before the permanent valve and trim go in
Set one in place as soon as the rough-in for a Decovac inlet is complete, well ahead of drywall and paint, and leave it there through every later stage of the build until the room is fully finished.
