This Hayden and Canplas discharge adapter is a 2 inch by 1-7/8 inch central vacuum fitting used where the pipe run transitions between diameters at the discharge point of the system. Canplas and Hayden installations use this connection at the power unit end, where exhaust or discharge tubing needs to mate cleanly with the standard 2 inch pipe network.
A secure joint at the discharge side matters just as much as at the inlets. Air leaks anywhere in the run cost suction and can push fine dust into the utility space around the power unit, so quality fittings and proper connections throughout the installation keep the whole system performing the way it was designed to.
This adapter is compatible with Canplas and Hayden central vacuum systems. If your home has Hayden hardware and you are matching parts for a repair, check the existing fitting dimensions against the 2 inch by 1-7/8 inch sizing before ordering.
