This genuine Dyson sole plate wheel sits on the underside of the cleaner head and supports the powered nozzle as it glides over carpet and hard floors. It is a shared component across several Dyson uprights including the DC24, DC40, DC50, DC65 and DC66. A worn or flat-spotted glide wheel causes the head to drag, scrape, or roll unevenly, increasing push effort and risking marks on hard floors.
