This is the genuine Eureka brush belt cap assembly for the Eureka 5840 upright vacuum cleaner. The belt cap covers and secures the brush-roll belt area at the end of the cleaning nozzle, protecting the drive belt and brush roll bearing while keeping the agitator assembly correctly aligned.
A broken or missing belt cap can let the brush roll wobble, throw the belt, or expose the bearing to dust and hair. Installing this OEM assembly (Part #71741) restores secure coverage and proper brush-roll seating for consistent carpet cleaning.
