Fan Case/Housing Sealant - ...

Product details

This Fan Case and Housing Sealant from Dow Corning (Part #0300) seals the joint between a vacuum's fan case and housing during motor service. Applied to the mating surfaces on reassembly, it fills small gaps so the airway stays airtight after the case is closed.

An unsealed or poorly sealed fan case leaks air around the fan chamber, and that leak costs suction and lets fine dust escape into the motor. Laying down a fresh bead of the correct sealant restores a tight seal and keeps the fan pulling at full strength.

  • Function: sealant for the fan case and housing joint during motor service
  • Part: Dow Corning 0300
  • Benefit: an airtight fan chamber for full suction and a protected motor
  • Tip: clean and dry both surfaces before applying a thin, even bead

Allow the sealant to set per its instructions before running the vacuum so the joint cures to a lasting, leak-free bond.
