Part B220-3114 is the black cover that closes the back of the handle on the shared ultra lightweight platform sold as the Riccar R10, Simplicity S10 and Maytag M500.

This piece is cosmetic and protective: it closes off the wiring and switch area behind the handle grip. A cracked or missing cover leaves that wiring exposed to dust and to knocks against furniture and door frames, and once a corner has broken off the cover no longer clips down tight enough to stay in place on its own.
