White-trimmed machines take the gray black and white handle, and 5642AM supplies it complete: grip, tube, internal wiring and switch built up as one part. SEBO shows the assembled handle at item 1, the very first entry on its exploded parts drawing, directly above the switch cap and the cable clamps that follow it.
Intermittent running is the usual reason this number gets ordered. A conductor broken inside the lead will make contact at one handle angle and drop it at another, and a switch that has been worked for years produces the same fault from a different cause. Fitting the built-up section rules out the cable, the switch and the wiring together, and it saves splicing a fresh cord onto a worn switch or feeding new wire down a tube that has already split. On a machine used daily, that is one repair instead of three visits to the same casing.

Trim colour decides the part number here, so compare your machine against the photograph before ordering; the silver, red and yellow versions each carry a number of their own and will not match a white-trimmed body.
