Product details
Part 100354 is the harness system for ProTeam's backpack vacuums, and it arrives without the backplate. It is the strap system that carries the machine's weight on the operator, and it is replaced as a set for a practical reason: harness wear rarely confines itself to a single strap, and by the time one point has failed the rest has usually logged the same hours.
Harnesses wear out gradually, and the operator feels it before anyone notices the strap itself. The webbing itself frays at the point it feeds through a buckle, grip in that buckle eventually fails and lets the strap slip loose within an hour of wear, and the whole rig starts settling lower on the operator's back, swaying with each stride instead of sitting still. Most operators notice sore shoulders at the end of a shift well before they think to check the straps as the cause, since the discomfort builds slowly enough to feel like normal fatigue rather than a worn part.
This version makes sense when the backplate remains in good shape and it is only the strap system that has given out; ProTeam catalogs the complete harness with backplate as a separate item for machines that need both. This harness system fits the ProTeam CoachVac, MegaVac, QuarterVac, Super CoachVac and its HEPA version, and Super QuarterVac and its HEPA version.
- Part: 100354
- Format: full strap system, replaced as one set
- Backplate: not included
- Fits: ProTeam Super CoachVac, CoachVac, MegaVac, QuarterVac family
- Symptom: harness that will not stay cinched, machine riding low on the back
Installing it puts the full range of shoulder and waist adjustment back to new, which is most of what determines whether a long shift on one of these machines is comfortable or not.
