Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Product details

This is the rough-in backing plate that holds a central vacuum inlet valve square inside a 2x3 stud wall before drywall goes up, SKU 1044-00. It is molded entirely from plastic and finished in white.

The plate mounts between the studs and anchors the inlet's rough-in tubing, giving the installer a fixed, level surface to set the valve against once the wall is finished. Because it never touches airflow or debris, wear on this part comes from the framing and drywall work itself rather than from vacuum use. Central vacuum installers commonly pair a rough-in plate like this with a plaster guard, which keeps drywall compound and dust out of the opening until the wall is painted and the inlet valve is ready to go in.
