This pipe cutter, part TFCOUPEC, has a metal body built for repeated use cutting 2 in. PVC central vacuum pipe.

Where a lighter plastic-bodied cutter suits an occasional repair, a metal-bodied tool holds up to the cutting volume of a full installation or a shop that pipes several jobs a month without the tool itself wearing out first. It closes around the pipe and cuts through the wall in a controlled squeeze rather than a sawing motion, leaving a straight, square end that seats fully into a coupling or elbow without needing to be trimmed or sanded down again afterward.
