Product details

Part 101220 is a HEPA filter listed for three ProTeam backpacks: the ProVac, the Sierra and the Everest. It ships two to a pack rather than singly. Positioned at the very end of the airflow path, it matters especially in schools, clinics and offices, the settings where these backpacks typically run while people are still around.

HEPA media saturates on a steady clock whether or not a machine looks dirty from the outside, and a saturated filter starts pulling down nozzle airflow long before anyone gets around to opening the housing to check it. On a backpack working commercial routes every day, a monthly look at the filter and a yearly or twice-yearly swap is a reasonable baseline.

  • Part: 101220, sold two to a pack
  • Fits: ProTeam ProVac, Sierra, Everest
  • Inspect: monthly on machines in daily use
  • Replace: one to two times per year under normal commercial use

Having the pair together means a fresh filter is sitting ready the moment the first one needs swapping out, which in practice tends to be the deciding factor between a filter changed right on time and one that gets knocked out, dusted off and pushed back in for another few weeks. Keep the spare somewhere clean and dry until it is needed, since a filter left loose on a shelf collects dust before it ever reaches a machine. A simple written log kept alongside the machine, noting the date of the last swap, keeps the schedule honest on a route where several people share the same backpack.
