TK286 is a Wessel-Werk air-driven turbo tool, so its brush roll is turned by a cogged belt off a small turbine that the vacuum's own airflow spins, and there is no cord or battery tied to the nozzle itself.
That airflow spin is what pulls embedded dirt and pet hair out of carpet and rug fibers on each pass. The nozzle takes the standard 1-1/4 inch, 32 mm neck used across central vacuum wands. A turbo brush roll wears the way any brush roll does: bristles flatten with use, hair winds around the roller and drags on the bearings, the cogged belt stretches, and eventually the nozzle stops spinning freely or starts leaving faint streaks in carpet pile instead of a clean, even pass.
