Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 28SF12S is Kirby's Spring Fresh HomeFresh carpet freshener, a sprinkle-on powder that Kirby describes as containing baking soda to help eliminate the odors trapped down in carpet fiber, rather than perfuming the air over the top of them.

Sprinkle a light, even coat across the carpet, give it a few minutes to settle into the fibers, then vacuum it up along with the dirt it loosens. Keep foot traffic off the treated area while the powder is working, since walking on it before vacuuming grinds it back into the base of the pile. Kirby positions it as the thing to reach for when carpet needs freshening and there is no time to shampoo, and notes that it leaves both the room and the Kirby bag smelling clean afterward.
