This OEM agitator duct channels airflow and debris through the brush system of the Hoover U5780 and related uprights. It routes what the brushroll loosens into the suction path toward the bag.
Worn or cracked brush-system parts cause uneven pickup, extra noise, or a brushroll that stalls entirely. Addressing them early keeps strain off the belt and motor and returns consistent agitation. A cracked duct can also let debris escape the airflow path and collect inside the housing.
