We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. The Hoover F8100 Platinum Steamer runs its electrical functions through a single circuit board, and part 280516001 is the replacement for it. The board sits inside the control housing and coordinates what the machine does when you work its controls.
When a board fails, the symptoms are rarely subtle. The F8100 stops responding, behaves unpredictably between passes, or cuts out mid-clean with no obvious cause. Before ordering, pull the cover and check that every wiring connector is fully seated, because a plug that has worked loose imitates board failure closely enough to fool most people.
This is the direct replacement for the F8100, so it goes back into the original position with the original connector layout and nothing else in the machine needs to change. Parts ship in two to five business days.
