Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This is the exhaust filter for Hoover's backpack vacuums, part AH40006, two in a pack. It fits the CH34006 corded backpack, the CH93406 HushTone 6-quart cordless backpack, and the CH93619.
An exhaust filter is the last thing the air passes through before it leaves the machine, which on a backpack means it leaves at the operator's back. A loaded one is easy to ignore because it does not choke suction the way a pre-motor filter does. Instead the air coming out starts to smell, and fine dust that the bag let through gets pushed back into the room you have just cleaned.
Check it monthly on a machine in daily service and change it when it is visibly grey, rather than waiting for a symptom. Both filters in the pack are the same part, so the second one is next quarter's.
